Short abstract with content covered during RTD:
Tephrostratigraphy and tephrochronology are globally applied in a wide spectrum of geoscience subjects, mainly because of their outstanding potential in dating and synchronizing of sedimentary archives. The course will provide an introduction to the principals and methods of these techniques and will demonstrate examples for their application. Attendees will have the chance to participate in laboratory training including sample processing and the demonstration of analytical techniques.
Previous experience: None required.

Maximum number of participants: 15 (first come, first served).
PhD candidates of the CRC have priority to participate. Left spaces can be filled up by interested Postdocs of the CRC (write an email beforehand, if interested).
