Description:
According to PhD surveys in nature (2017 & 2019) and the work by Levecque et al. (2017) doing a PhD or Postdoc means working in a high-stress environment. Compared to other high stress environments a significant proportion of PhD students reported to feel overwhelmed, loss of confidence and inability to face their problems. Through resilience you can counter stress and overwhelm from a position of strength. Recent publications such as Hartmann et al. (2020) demonstrated that resilience is a dynamic multi-level quality that is influenced by the individual, the team and resources provided at the workplace. In this workshop we'll discover methods to cope with long-term stress and develop the dynamic quality of resilience as a buffer and a resource for stressful times.
