Short abstract with content covered during RTD:
This course provides an overview of the possible applications and analytical steps of lipid biomarker analyses in (paleo-)environmental research. With the help of this organic-geochemical methodology, various environmental parameters can be determined. The analytical steps are practiced using the example of the substance group of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, which are extracted from soil and sediment samples.
Previous experience: none required
What you need to participate in the course: interest in learning new lab methods
Maximum number of participants: 6 (first come, first served).
PhD candidates of the CRC have priority to participate. Left spaces can be filled up by interested Postdocs of the CRC (write an email beforehand, if interested).
