Short abstract with content covered during RTD:
We introduce the scope and basic principles of population genetics. We cover some of the theoretical methods, including statistical and computational tools, to analyze experimental data and to address questions regarding the migration and demographic histories of species and the possibility to identify signatures of adaptation to (changing) environmental conditions in their genetic profiles. We will work through some hands-on examples using data which were collected in CRC subprojects.
