The CRC1211 Integrated Research Training Group is happy to announce one IRTG Fellowship within the year 2025 as a part of the IRTG internal grants programme.
The fellowship is aimed at giving international doctoral candidates, advanced master students or recent master graduates, especially from cooperating institutions in Chile and Namibia, the opportunity to visit one of our institutions in Germany. Objectives are the strengthening of cooperation, especially with IRTG members, and the initiation of potential new collaborative projects. In the latter case, the fellow would typically prepare a proposal for an envisaged self-financed doctoral research project in close cooperation with his or her Project Leader (PL).
The successful candidate has a Bachelor and/or Master’s degree in a field relevant to CRC 1211 and the project of their choice.
The maximum duration per person is 12 months; the fellow’s stay in Germany can be split into two shorter periods (e.g. to allow a return to the home country for fieldwork or family obligations). Two return flights will be covered. The amount of the monthly stipend will depend on recipient’s level of experience (qualification grant; 1103€/month or doctoral grant; 1468€/month). The IRTG curriculum will be open to the visiting fellow.
As a part of their application, the candidates must indicate the relevant project within the CRC and supply a support statement from their envisaged PL in CRC 1211.
